На основе документов Государственного архива Тамбовской области, по большей части вводимых в научный оборот впервые, и сведений электронных ресурсов прослеживаются основные этапы предыстории агрономического факультета Тамбовского государственного университета (1918 г.). Выявленные материалы позволяют считать учебно-научный уровень, закладываемый в основание высшего сельскохозяйственного образования на Тамбовщине, полностью соответствующим академическим требованиям.
Basing on the documents of State Archive of Tambov province, mostly introduced in scientific sphere for the first time, and the data of e-resources the basic stages are traced, the prehistory of agronomical faculty of Tambov State University (1918). The revealed materials let consider the educational-scientific level, being the basis of higher agrarian education in Tambov region absolutely corresponding to the academic demands
