Современная англо-американская историография правления Петра I

Аннотация
Исследована англо-американская историография правления Петра I в современный период. Приведены оценки британских и американских историков внутренней и внешней политики Петра, результатов его преобразований, роли императора в российской истории. Рассмотрено большинство наиболее крупных исследований по истории России в правление Петра I, вышедших с 1990 г. по настоящее время. Анализ основных положений и тезисов этих работ позволил выявить характерные особенности рассмотрения образа Петра Великого в современной англо-американской историографии, наиболее популярные темы, привлекающие внимание историков, а также их оценки правления русского императора. Сделан вывод о присутствии антироссийского политического дискурса в большинстве исследований настоящего периода историографии.
