Abstract
Importance. Bilingual interference affects the effectiveness of business communication and the formation of a specialist’s communicative behavior. In the methodology of adult education in a corporate environment, its discursive aspect remains insufficiently studied. The aim of the study is to theoretically conceptualize bilingual interference as a cognitive-discursive phenomenon and to experimentally test the effectiveness of a methodology for its conscious management.
Research Methods. The methodological framework is based on the principles of cross-linguistic interaction theory, the concept of bilingual interference, and discursive and communicativeactivity approaches. The empirical part is implemented in the form of a pedagogical experiment involving 120 learners.
Results and Discussion. Interference manifestations are systemic in nature. Pragmatic (51 %) and discursive (47 %) interference demonstrated the highest frequency. The results of the control stage showed statistically significant dynamics: lexical interference decreased from 42 to 25 %, grammatical from 38 to 24 %, pragmatic from 51 to 28 %, and discursive from 47 to 26 %. A qualitative analysis of learners’ speech products revealed a transition to structured and pragmatically appropriate speech forms.
Conclusion. The methodological management of bilingual interference ensures a quantitative reduction in interference manifestations and a qualitative transformation of professional discourse, manifested in increased accuracy, logic, and pragmatic appropriateness of adult learners' speech behavior.
